Grass, and what actually earns on it

This is first because it is the way people actually lose money here. Grass is heavily impersonated. Searching for it surfaces convincing lookalikes on free hosting, including pages built to look like official documentation, and the ones asking for a wallet seed phrase will empty it. The real dashboard is app.grass.io and nothing else. No legitimate node will ever ask for a seed phrase, only a wallet connection.

Grass launched in October 2024 out of Wynd Labs, backed by Polychain and Tribe, and runs on Solana. Like Honeygain it routes commercial traffic through residential connections, but instead of paying a dollar balance it issues points that convert to GRASS tokens in seasonal distributions. Season 1 sent 100 million GRASS to 2.8 million users across 190 countries. Season 2 was confirmed by the team at 170 million GRASS.

That structure matters for how you think about it. A dollar balance on Honeygain is a dollar. A points balance on Grass is a claim on a future distribution whose per-user size depends on how many other nodes are competing when it settles, and the network has grown enormously since Season 1. A larger pool split among far more participants does not necessarily mean a larger individual share.

FILL: Season 2 was expected in the first half of 2026. Check whether it has settled and what it paid, then write the outcome here rather than the expectation. That paragraph is the whole reason someone would read this page instead of a competitor's.

Wallet first. Install Phantom from phantom.app and create a Solana wallet, or use one you already have. You need it to connect and to claim anything later. Use one wallet and keep it clean, since a wallet with messy history is exactly what sybil screening looks at.

Then go to app.grass.io, connect the wallet, and install the node. The browser extension makes your machine a lite node. The desktop node is the better option on a machine that stays powered, and on a 24/7 host there is no reason to use the extension instead.

That is the entire setup. The work is in not breaking the rules below.

At Epoch 11 in October 2025 the team split rewards into two kinds, and this is the single most important thing on this page. Uptime Points accrue for staying connected. Network Points accrue only when your bandwidth is actually used, and they come from a fixed daily pool of one million split pro-rata across everyone by real usage.

The consequence is that idling no longer works the way it did. Under the old model, being online was most of the game. Under this one, being online gets you the smaller half and the larger half depends on whether buyers actually route traffic through you, which depends on your IP's desirability and is substantially outside your control. Guides promising that you just leave it running are describing 2024.

Points are also not immediately redeemable when an epoch ends. Do not plan around the balance on the dashboard being liquid.

Grass runs stricter anti-sybil enforcement than most of this category, and allocations can be zeroed without appeal. Three rules, and they are not negotiable.

VPN traffic disqualifies a node outright. Multi-account use is penalized. The October 2025 overhaul specifically targeted passive bot behaviour. The safe configuration is exactly one real device, on one real IP, tied to one account, and anything cleverer than that is a way to lose the whole balance rather than a way to multiply it.

This is also why the "run it on ten machines" advice circulating for other apps is actively dangerous here. On Honeygain extra devices behind one IP simply earn nothing. On Grass they can cost you everything you have accrued.
